Attendance

Attendance Matters – A Strong Start to Term 2!
As we begin Term 2, it’s important to highlight the critical role that regular school attendance plays in your child's education. Every day counts, and arriving at school on time ensures that students start their day settled, prepared, and ready to learn.
Good attendance habits set the foundation for academic success and strong social connections. Even being just a few minutes late can disrupt your child’s learning and that of the entire class. Punctuality helps children establish routines and shows the importance of respecting commitments.
If your child is absent, it is a legal requirement that you notify the school.
Please ensure you log the absence on Compass with a clear explanation as soon as possible. Timely communication supports our school to maintain accurate records and ensures that your child’s absence is properly accounted for.
At the end of Term 1, unexplained absence letters were sent home for students who still had outstanding unexplained absences. If you received one of these letters, please complete the form and return it to the office promptly. Alternatively, you can update any unexplained absences directly through Compass.
Your cooperation is vital to helping us maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. Let’s work together to make Term 2 a successful and rewarding experience for everyone!
Every day matters. Every minute counts. Let’s make Term 2 great!
