John XXIII Rowing Club

Dear Rowing Families

Tomorrow, John XXIII College proudly hosts the first IGSSA rowing regatta of the season at Champion Lakes. The Rowing Committee, parents, students, and staff have been hard at work preparing for this exciting event. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has donated items for the raffle, baked goodies for the cake stall, and volunteered their time to assist with stalls, boats, and race day operations. This regatta is a major fundraising opportunity for our Rowing Club. Our girls’ squad is eagerly gearing up to compete, and we look forward to seeing their dedication and teamwork on display tomorrow.

2025 Year 8 Learn to Row

Our Year 8 Learn to Row commenced this week with over 50 new rowers taking to the water, which was great to see.

With so many registrations, we are going to add another water session on Thursday morning to allow each rower more personalised coaching and time on the water.

An email with more information will be sent to all registered rowers and their parents.

Uniforms

The new Zootsuit is now in stock at the Uniform Shop. There is also a training top that can be worn under the Zootsuit. The only compulsory item is the Zootsuit for racing at regattas. There is stock of the old zootsuit which can be worn for training.

Stack Team App

Please download the Stack Team App if you have not already done so. This app is one of our main avenues for communication with rowers and their parents. This is the central place for training schedules, training updates, and rowers can contact their coach in case of illness or injury and missed trainings. It is important that all rowers and parents have access.

To get this app please go to the App Store or Google Play and download Stack Team App onto your mobile device, then follow these simple steps:

  1. Sign-up to Stack Team App. You’ll be sent an email to confirm your registration.
  2. Log-in and search for JTCRC, then request to become a member.
