Empowering Our Students: Adair Donaldson Presentation – Tuesday 29 April

Welcome back to Term 2! We are committed to ensuring our students have the knowledge and skills to make safe, respectful, and informed decisions as they navigate high school and beyond.

Next week, on Tuesday 29th April, we are pleased to welcome Adair Donaldson—an acclaimed legal educator and speaker—to The Gap SHS to speak to Years 9, 10, 11 and 12 and our EVP students and parents. Adair’s presentations are engaging and age-appropriate, covering crucial topics such as social media use, consent, legal consequences of behaviour, underage parties and alcohol, racism, and harassment.

Why is this important?

Today’s young people face a rapidly changing world, both online and offline. Understanding the legal and social impacts of their choices is essential for their safety, wellbeing, and future opportunities. By providing practical advice and real-world scenarios, Adair helps students develop the awareness and confidence to make positive decisions and treat others with respect.

These sessions are part of our ongoing commitment to student wellbeing and personal development, empowering students to become responsible and informed members of our school and wider community.
