Farewelling our Pope

Last Friday, our school community took the opportunity to farewell Pope Francis.

With grateful hearts we honoured him.

He was a kind and gentle leader who loved God, loved people, and loved the Earth.

He reminded us to look after each other, especially people who are sad, sick, or lonely.

He told us to care for the planet and always choose kindness.

We hold Pope Francis in our hearts and pray that the Cardinal Electors will be guided by the Holy Spirit to find a new leader for our church. A person of faith, hope and charity. One of courage, wisdom and compassion.

Loving God, 

Thank you for the life of Pope Francis.

Help us to keep his kindness alive in our words and actions.

May we be helpers, peacemakers, and friends to all.

May God bless us with joy in our hearts,

kindness in our hands,

and love in everything we do.
