Principal's Message

Mr Ben Morgan | Principal

Dear Families,

Welcome to Term 2 at John Paul II Catholic School!

We are excited to launch Pathways, our new program designed to engage students, build a stronger connection to school, increase attendance and improve student and staff well-being. This is the first round, which we have limited to staff leaders. If the program is deemed successful we will expand to parents and other volunteers who are keen to share a passion or interest with our students. Keep your eyes peeled for more information later this year.

Our work with Catholic Education Tasmania regarding the car park continues. You will notice some changes in the coming weeks, such as, increased signage, bollards and/or large boulders blocking certain grass areas. We are also increasing staff parking to free up more spaces for parents, and making a different exit for staff to avoid a bottleneck at our entrance at 3:00pm. We thank you for your patience while we improve the safety for our students, staff and families. We also extend our thanks to Fr Mark Freeman for allowing us to utilise the church property and make changes to the shared car park.

Our student leaders represented the school with pride at the ANZAC Day service at South Arm. I thank them and their families for their attendance and excellent representation for our school.

We warmly invite all families to join us for the Cross Country event on Wednesday 14th May, starting at 11:00am. With our major focus being Community, we hope to see everyone there!
