Asthma
Asthma is a serious and long-term condition that affects 1 in 9 Australians. Sadly, more than 400 Australians die of asthma each year. It is the leading cause of disease in children aged between 1-14years old.
There is currently no cure, but in most cases asthma can be well managed and people with asthma can live a full life.
As per the school policy, which can be found on the school website, it is important that each student diagnosed with asthma, has their reliever medication and spacer with them each day at school, stored in their school bag for easy access.
It is the responsibility of the parent to provide the school with documentation, in particular, an Asthma Action Plan, if your child has been diagnosed with Asthma. Please notify the school as soon as possible, if there are any changes to your child's plan.
