Years 10 & 11 Exams & GAT

Our year 10 and 11 students have started the term productively in their classes and will be working rigorously towards completing these units.

As part of their assessment our years 10 & 11 students will be completing Exams later this term. Further information will come out closer to the time in regard to the exam schedule and format however please put the following dates in your calendar.

Year 10 Exams -   Monday 16th June, Wednesday 18th June -Tuesday 24th June.

Year 11 Exams  - Friday 13th June – Friday 20th June

Please be aware there won’t be any exams for Years 10 & 11 on Tuesday 17th June due to the curriculum day and GAT.

General Achievement Test (GAT) – Tuesday 17 June

All year 12 ( VCE & VM) students and Year 11 students completing a Unit 3 & 4 subject will be required to attend school on this day (curriculum day for all other students).   The GAT is a state wide VCAA test and must be completed on this day.

The GAT results are used to check that VCE external assessments and school based assessments have been fairly and accurately assessed. GAT results can also be used to calculate a derived score if required.  It also measures students’ literacy and numeracy skills against the Victorian standards which is reported on students final statement of results at the end of Year 12.

Further information regarding arrangements for this day will come out in the next couple of weeks.
