New Primary Basketball/Netball Court
Swimming, running and shooting hoops have all featured in the last fortnight across Primary. Congratulations to all of our Pre-Primary to Year 6 students for their good sportsmanship, and House spirit at the annual Primary Inter-House Cross Country Carnival. For our ELC students this event was followed by our Mother’s Day celebrations for all the wonderful women who play such varied and important roles in all our lives. The hot chocolates were a hit all round!
Our Year 6s have been working on their Exhibition journey, with an excursion to the city last week to explore the WA Museum. The students looked great in their Leavers’ Shirts and had a most rewarding experience exploring the Museum and all of its exhibits. To further provo their thinking we welcomed George Joe from Cultural Infusion who presented the Mbira of Zimbabwe and had us all drumming and dancing.

We have also welcomed our first guest Chaplain, Father Richard, to JWACS and we have been so grateful for his wisdom and leadership of Chapel services across Primary. With key messages around kindness and the importance of balancing work, rest and play, it has been wonderful to have him with us.
Earlier this week I sent a message through SEQTA offering Primary families the opportunity to reflect and be involved in the IB PYP Evaluation process. The link is still open and it would be wonderful to have lots of input from our community to feed into this important work.
With swimming lessons in progress and an Assembly in Week 5 to look forward to, it is bound to be another great fortnight in Primary.
Take care.

Inter-House Cross Country Carnival | Years 2-6
On Friday 9 May our students participated in the Pre-Primary - Year 6 Inter-House Cross Country Carnival. We saw remarkable displays of sportsmanship and kindness throughout the day, as well as lots of determination from all students involved.
Thank you to the parents for coming down to watch and helping create a fantastic atmosphere, encouraging all students to push through right to the finish line.
Awards will be presented at the Primary Assembly on Friday in Week 5.

Inter-House Cross Country Carnival | Pre-Primary and Year 1
On Friday morning, the Pre-Kindergarten to Year 1 courtyard was filled with laughter and love as we celebrated our annual Mother’s Day Morning Tea. Families gathered on picnic blankets, enjoying special time together in the sunshine.
Children were thrilled to share a range of fun activities with their mums - from painting to nail polish pampering, and a cheerful 'Photo Booth' capturing precious moments. The students' guests enjoyed muffins and hot chocolates, creating the perfect setting for conversation, cuddles, and connection.
Thank you to all the staff, mums and special guests who made the morning so meaningful!
