Dear Auburn High School Community,
We have some important updates and exciting news to share with you regarding our school’s online presence and policy documentation.
Old Site Issues
Firstly, we regret to inform you that our school website has unfortunately crashed. Due to this, some documents, particularly our policies, are not up to date. We understand the inconvenience this may cause and sincerely apologize for any difficulties you may encounter while trying to access the necessary information.
Accessing Updated Policies
In the interim, we have ensured that all recently updated policies are available for consultation through Compass. To access these documents, please follow these steps:
This will guide you to the most recent versions of our policies and other essential documents.
New Website Development
We are thrilled to announce that a new school website is currently being developed with the support and input from our parent & staff community. This new site aims to provide a more user-friendly experience, better access to important information, and enhanced features to support our school.
Launch Date
While the exact launch date for the new website is still being finalized, we are working diligently to bring it to you as soon as possible. We will keep you updated on the progress and announce the launch date once it has been confirmed.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate through these changes. We are confident that the new website will significantly improve your experience and serve as a valuable resource for our school community.
Recently we have received feedback from concerned citizens regarding AHS students not ‘tapping on’ their myki when using public transport (especially those travelling on the 624 bus).
Students have been reminded that when they are wearing their AHS uniform, their choices are being noticed by the local community, and so it is important that they validate their PTV journey by tapping on.
We understand that many students travel using a myki pass, and so their travel is therefore prepaid. Advice from PTV indicates that even if they have a myki pass, they are encouraged to tap on as this enables PTV to track the volume of passengers at peak times. This data is helpful evidence when we need to request additional services as our student numbers grow.
If your child/children use public transport to travel to and from school, thank you for ensuring that they have a valid ticket and we would appreciate you reiterating the above messages around the importance of tapping on at home.
