Grade 4 Report
Grade 4 City Camp
The Grade 4 children have had a very exciting start to Term 4, but had an even more exciting end to Term 3!
On the last Thursday of Term Three, 83 of the students set off for their one night city camp. We enjoyed the drive through the city on the bus and made a quick stop at City CYC, our camp accommodation on Collins Street, to drop off our luggage and have a safety briefing. We were very lucky with the weather for our walk to Docklands to Archie Brothers. There we participated in some bowling, laser tag, dodgem cards and many, many arcade games. It was such great fun!
After our time at Archie Brothers, we walked back to CYC where we got to have some time in our cabins, have a rest, watch some cartoons and relax with our friends. That night we had butter chicken for dinner, chocolate brownie for dessert and watched a movie together in our PJs. We even got hot chocolate during the movie! After a fun filled day and lots of walking, we all had a big sleep.
Despite the weather forecast, we were blessed with sunshine and no rain for day two of camp! After a breakfast of cereal, toast, and croissants, we walked through the city and headed towards Southbank for our cruise along the Yarra River. After learning some facts about our city and harbour, we then spent some time at the playground along Birrarung Marr before heading to ACMI at Federation Square and then catching a train back to school.
The students are to be commended for their behaviour, the respect they showed the wider community and their positive and flexible attitudes.
A big thank you to the teachers who attended and also to the parent helpers that came along for the day activities.
