Grade 3 Report

Learning our 4s in Term 4! 

This term in Maths we are learning all about how to multiply numbers by 4. Initially this sounded difficult but luckily there is a fun strategy which has made us ready to tackle the challenge. The first step was to revise our x2 multiplication facts (doubles) and soon enough we realised that for x4, all we have to do is DOUBLE the DOUBLES!  

You’re telling me that if 2 x 3 is 6… then 4 x 3 is 12? Double, DOUBLES! YES! 

We have been introduced to a new Double, Doubles game where we are revising our x2 facts and practising our new x4 facts. It has been great to see so many students learning the facts already and eager to be tested in the coming weeks. Well done!
