Composition Workshop  

FRIDAY 24 OCTOBER

We are excited to advise that Music students in Years 9 – 11 will be attending a composition workshop to be held in the Performance Theatre on Friday 24 October.  The workshop, facilitated by Australian composer Brendan Collins, will run from 1pm until 3:25pm, and will look at starting, developing and structuring compositions.  Hopefully this will be particularly useful for students in Year 11 as a springboard into their HSC compositions.

​Brendan Collins is currently the Chief Brass Examiner of NSW for the Australian Music Examinations Board and the Composer-in-Residence at Barker College, Sydney. He has also worked as Composer-in Residence for the Sydney Youth Orchestra.  His compositions are frequently performed and recorded throughout the world by many leading international artists and his music is broadcast regularly on ABC Classic FM. For further information about Brendan’s compositions, please visit www.brendancollins.com.au

Nine Lessons & Carols

SUNDAY 1 DECEMBER, 4PM – SAVE THE DATE

This term our choirs and orchestra students are presenting a traditional Christmas Carol service, with free admission to the public.  We are hoping that this event will provide us the opportunity to spread a bit of Christmas cheer and also to foster links with the broader Orange community. Further information will be emailed to our performers.  Please come along and celebrate the spirit of Christmas!
