Welcome Back to Term 4!

It is going to be a busy term that will go extremely quickly! We trust you have enjoyed the last couple of weeks with your children and have had opportunities to build memories together. The students have settled well upon returning to school this week and we are looking forward to a productive and positive term ahead.

Please note that, due to a whole school extended staff meeting with the AISNSW, after school sport is cancelled for next Wednesday 23 October.  The exception being Touch Football where games will go ahead as scheduled.

Grand Friend’s Day

Over 100 Grand Friends braved the wet weather today and joined us in the Junior School for a wonderful celebration of learning. Our morning started with a fabulous performance from our talented Junior School Orchestra, the fabulous Five Fiddles, the awesome Junior School Concert Band and a range and variety of individual performances, all highlighting the many talented musicians across our Junior School.

A massive thank you to the Performing Arts teaching staff who worked together to bring this showcase to fruition. Grand Friend’s were then invited into their Grandchildren’s room to see and hear about what they have been learning. This is such a wonderful event with some students fortunate to have up to four generations joining us. We thank all our Grand Friends for joining us and making this such a special occasion.

Congratulations!

On Thursday 17 October, Mason O'Toole of Year 6 was presented with the Newcastle Permanent Year 6 District Mathematics Award. This is an outstanding achievement and recognition of Mason’s dedication and application of mathematical skill.

Calling all crafters!

Mrs Robson would be grateful to any community members who would be willing to assist with the making of some simple costumes for our K-2 Nativity Play. No sewing skills required. Please contact Mrs Robson via the Junior School office if you are available to help.
