2024 PARENT OPINION SURVEY RESULTS

Thank you to all Vermont families that participated in the annual DE (Department of Education) ‘Parent Opinion Survey’ for 2024 which allowed us to gain positive and constructive feedback. The survey was newly formatted in 2017 from previous years and is released electronically. With the seventh year of this format running, we are able to show comparative data from 2017 to 2024.

 

2024 - All families receive an invitation - Total number of parent responses: 172

2023 - All families receive an invitation - Total number of parent responses: 185

2022 - All families receive an invitation - Total number of parent responses: 231

2021 - All families receive an invitation - Total number of parent responses: 291

2020 - All families receive an invitation - Total number of parent responses: 414

2019 - 438 recommended, DET target number 231, no. of respondents 231 = 100%

2018 - 445 recommended, DET target number 222, no. of respondents 170 = 76.6%

2017 - 445 recommended, DET target number 222, no. of respondents 170 = 76.6%

The positive percentages shown are determined by ‘agree’ and ‘strongly agree’ responses being combined. Overall, the responses are extremely positive, while there are some areas that need continued investigation and work. We thank the school community for their feedback and continued support of the college.

A more detailed examination of the data will take place in a range of forums including College Council, the Leadership Team and in writing the next Strategic Plan and the 2025 Annual Implementation Plan (AIP).

MELBOURNE CUP DAY – TUESDAY 5TH NOVEMBER

Parents and guardians please note that Monday 4th November (the day before Melbourne Cup Day) will be a normal school day for Years 7, 8 and 9 under DE (Department of Education) guidelines however we will run an alternate timetable, which will merge classes, if required on the day. Years 10, 11 & 12 will have this day as a study day in preparation for exams and for the completion of set work.
