PRAYER

Our Father,

who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name;

thy kingdom come;

thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread;

and forgive us our trespasses

as we forgive those who trespass against us;

and lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

Amen

From the Principal

Dear Families,

Tomorrow as we recognise All Saint’s Day we remember all saints and martyrs who are part of Christian history. The following day, in recognition of All Soul’s Day, we honour and pray for those who have passed. The Lord’s Prayer is fitting at this time as we pray the words that Jesus taught us.

A reminder that there is no school on Monday. We wish all families a safe and happy long weekend and Melbourne Cup Day.

Twilight Sports

Last Thursday night’s gathering for our annual Twilight Sports was a true representation of the community spirit that St Philip’s is renowned for. Thank you to our Sports Committee members who prepared the oval and cooked the barbeque.  Much appreciation too to Mrs Michelle Sherriff for organising and preparing the students. I also thank all of the teachers and staff for their contribution to the team effort that goes into events such as this. Well done to all students, not just for their achievement in each of their events but for their encouragement and respect of each other.

Prep 2025 Orientation

Next week our Prep 2025 Orientation sessions begin. A series of sessions are planned for the new students to enable them to become acquainted with the classroom and school life. The students will also attend on Transition Day on Thursday 12 December when students will meet their 2025 classroom teachers.

Next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday we are holding a Book Fair. Scholastic Books will be for sale in the hall. All parents and carers are welcome to come in at drop off or pick up time to browse or purchase. Students will attend the Book Fair with their teacher  throughout the week.
