SAGTA Annual Poster Competition: Discover Niedersachsen!
This year, the South Australian German Teachers' Association (SAGTA) is excited to invite students in Years 4-6 to enter the annual poster competition with a creative focus on Niedersachsen, a region in northern Germany known for its rich history, stunning landscapes, and vibrant culture. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase a famous tourist attraction from Niedersachsen by designing a detailed poster and writing a short description or poem about the location.
Below are some of the exciting locations that students may choose to highlight in their entries:
Hannover, das Neues Rathaus
Hannover’s New Town Hall (das Neues Rathaus) is an architectural marvel, built in the early 20th century. Its stunning domed tower offers panoramic views of the city, and visitors can even take an elevator ride at a 17-degree angle to reach the top! The building’s design, with its beautiful blend of Renaissance and Baroque styles, is a major tourist attraction.
Cuxhaven Dühnen Strand
Cuxhaven Dühnen Beach is a popular destination for families, known for its wide sandy shores and calm waters. It’s perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and beach sports. The beach also serves as a gateway to the Wadden Sea National Park, where visitors can experience unique mudflat hiking during low tide and explore this UNESCO World Heritage site.
Serengeti Park Hodenhagen
