Middle Sub School News

Sarah Hill

Hi MSS,

A lovely short week for Week 5 of term. I hope you enjoyed an extra day at home, and made the most of one day and one day out!

Professional Practice Day

I hope you found the day to be purposeful, and that you came away having learned something, and contributed to discussions alongside your colleagues, leaders and friends. 2025 class lists are very much well under way, and thanks to your feedback will be refined further.

Classroom Team Meetings

A reminder that the focus for Classroom Team Meetings is Student Profiles. These are to be uploaded on Xuno. A reminder that this is the first time we are doing this- so, as always, if you need help please reach out for support.

I have created a video showcasing how to do this. This video was emailed through early last week, so if you need to be resent, please let me know!

PDP’s

Reviews of PDP’s are occurring in the coming weeks. Please take time to review what you have achieved aligned with your goal developed in Term 1. We will be touching base regarding these in the coming weeks.

Key Dates & Events

- SSG Meetings – Mid/Late Term: These will be happening later in the term, with the exception of Roo 10. Please ensure you’re prepared by gathering relevant data, reviewing goals, and setting up times with parents once slips are received. These meetings are crucial for providing ongoing support to our students and reviewing their progress, particularly heading into the end of the year.

- Middle School Awards – Week 9: It's time to start thinking about areas where students have shown significant growth. Whether in curriculum achievements or social-emotional skills, let's plan to celebrate their successes at our upcoming ceremony. Please see my recent email for more information. The details for these awards are due very soon, so please ensure these are on your to do list.

- Transition to 2025 Classrooms – Week 11: As we approach transition week, consider how best to support students during this time. Help them feel confident and prepared as they meet their 2025 classmates and teachers. 2025 class lists will be shared shortly for your feedback.

Year 6 Graduation – 12th December

Graduation notes and RSVP’s have gone home. Similarly, invitations created by students should have also been distributed. Please ensure all returned graduation notes are returned to me, so that I can start to compile all of the RSVP’s and food orders in one central location.

Thank you to everyone who has volunteered so far. We’ll share more information on roles and responsibilities shortly. Let’s ensure this is a night to remember for our students and their families.

Thank you all for your hard work and dedication. Let’s continue making Term 4 an exciting and rewarding experience for our students!

Warm regards,

Sarah Hill
