Assistant Principal (VM, 9/10) Report

Mr Travis Mcintosh

Report from Assistant

Principal Travis Mcintosh

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students of Middle School,

Week 6 marks the run home for students in middle school, and with only 2 weeks left until the end of the semester, students are urged to continue to work hard as they finalise their major assessments (CAT’s) that determine the result on their school reports. The level of achievement that students receive on their assessments in the form of a letter grade is an important piece of feedback to both student and their families. This feedback provides an opportunity for reflection about the successes and challenges students may have had throughout the year and what can be done in the future to improve on their performance.

This is soon followed by Year 10 exam week, beginning the 26th of November and an opportunity for students to consolidate what they have learnt over the semester but perhaps a chance to redeem their previous results and prove to themselves what they can achieve. I have provided a link below for top 10 study tips that students might find useful in preparation of the exams.

To all the year 10 students’, congratulations on completing your time at middle school. I wish you all the best as you move on into Senior School as your studies begin to take focus for life post-secondary school and beyond. To the Year 9’s, I look forward to working with you all as you transition into year 10 during Head start and 2025 as the leaders of middle school.

A reminder that all year 11 VCE VM students are required to participate in Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) placements as part of their learning program, Term 4 Week 8 commencing on the Monday 25th to Friday 29th November.
