Diwali in Room 28 and Room 27
It was a great pleasure to witness our Year 3 students having a wonderful time learning about the Diwali festival and engaging in hands-on activities.
A huge thank you to our lovely parents, Mrs Rath in Room 28, and Mrs Kaur in Room 27, who gave an amazing presentation on Diwali and generously offered ‘diyas ‘(traditional lamps) for all children to decorate and take home. Furthermore, the students made their best attempts at drawing rangoli patterns, it was a delightful mindfulness activity.
What a special way to practice and learn Intercultural understanding; this is how our students learn about and engage with diverse cultures in ways that recognise commonalities and differences, create connections with others, and cultivate mutual respect.
