Dear Parents/Carers and supporters of our greatest asset, our children,
What a wonderful few weeks it has been for our school community!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our effort at the Elmore Field Days. Whether you helped volunteering your time, or came along to say hello, welcomed children to your home early, your contribution helped raise vital funds for St Joseph’s.
As we look ahead, there’s plenty to be excited about in the final stretch of the year. Our students will be involved in Campaspe Basketball and Summer Sports, and the much-anticipated Deb Ball.
Looking forward, we are excited to put the final touches to the Deb Ball this Friday 24th October. A list of helpers needed will be circulated over the weekend. We ask that you consider offering some of your time to help out.
Paint and Sip has been rescheduled, we hope the new date will suit you. A flyer is attached to this newsletter AND keep an eye on our socials for information also.
We also look forward to celebrating important milestones through our Sacramental program, Transition sessions for 2026, and, of course, coming together to celebrate the end of another fantastic school year.
As we begin Term 4, we’ve noticed that many students have a lower than ideal attendance rate for this semester. Research shows that when attendance drops below 96%, it starts to impact a child’s learning progress.
We understand that illness has impacted many families, but we’ve also seen a number of absences for other reasons.
With Term 4 being such a busy time socially, we encourage all families to prioritise school attendance whenever possible.
Every day at school makes a difference to your child’s learning and connection with their classmates.
As we continue planning for 2026, we kindly ask that families who know they will not be returning to St Joseph’s next year please contact the office as soon as possible. This helps us greatly with class planning and preparation for the new school year.
At the end of Term 3, the whole school GOTCHA Reward Day was centred around the G.E.M. principles of The Resilience Project.
We had so much fun dressing up.
We encourage you to watch the YOUTUBE clip of our day.
Thanks to Rochester Community House and The Resilience Project for their support of our school.
Thanks for your ongoing support.
