From the Head of Junior School
Mrs Ainslie Breckenridge
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone for the warm welcome to Pittwater House. What has stood out most to me so far are the friendly, polite students who greet me at the gate each morning, the Year 2 girls who never fail to make me laugh at lunchtime, and the wonderful stories shared by our Year 6 cohort as they prepare for Senior School. These moments have already brought me so much joy. I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting several parents, and I hope many more of you will join us at the Junior School Assembly this Friday and stay for a coffee with me afterward. It’s a great opportunity for us to start getting to know each other.
I strongly believe in nurturing happy, confident children who embrace challenges and feel empowered to try new things that stretch their thinking and actions both academically and emotionally. Our role is to guide and encourage these qualities, and I can already see that Pittwater House students demonstrate incredible determination and a willingness to give things a go. I’m excited to learn from this community and to see what we can build together.
Thank you again for such a warm welcome, and please don’t hesitate to come and say hello.
