School Captains

Celebrating our Wonga Park Primary School 130th birthday was such a special and memorable evening! 

As School Captains, we felt so proud and privileged to be part of the celebrations and to see our whole community come together. It was amazing to see all the hard work from the committee, volunteers and our school community. 

There was Bush Dancing, market stalls, Side Show Alley games, yummy food options and much more! To top it off, a big singalong of “Happy Birthday” and cupcakes ended our evening of celebrations.  

The event brought lots of past students and families back to celebrate, and allowed both students and teachers to reconnect. 

We would like to recognise the efforts from community groups including the Wonga Park Scouts and Wonga Park Cricket Club for their contributions and taking time to celebrate with our community. 

Learning about the school’s past and seeing each year level’s contributions made us feel really connected to our history. It was such a joyful and wholesome event, and the weeks leading up to it, and one that we'll always look back on with fond memories as part of our final year at primary school.
