PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

 WHAT A MASSIVE WEEK!!

Monday, 13th October, commenced with the farewell of Belinda Batchelor from her role as Science Laboratory Technician.  Belinda has been at Kerang Technical High School since  2017 and has been a valued contributor to the significant changes through the Science domain including the massive task of moving into a new facility and sorting through years of stored equipment and resources.   I wish her well in the future and thank her for everything she has done for our staff and students at KTHS.

MMLLEN –REAL INDUSTRY JOB INTERVIEW (RIJI) DAY:

On Wednesday, 15th October, we welcomed the MMLLEN and a large number of Industry and Career Education representatives.  It was a great opportunity for the Vocational Major and a select group of Senior students to have these interviews and get those important questions answered in their journey into employment.

HOBBY DAY - FRI. 17/10:

The Vocational Major students completed one of their major tasks with a Hobby Day held today at lunch time.  Around the school we had activities with a BBQ to spark the conversation about being active in a variety of things.   

VET AWARD FOR Ms PEARCE: 

Through the schools Cooking RTO -  Education is Key, Ms Pearce has taken out the National VETis Cookery/Hospitality Quality Service Skills and Education is Key award. (Info and pics inside)

• State Athletics
• Final assembly for Yr 12 students
• School Captain Interviews for 2026
• Yr 10 Work experience for selected students.
• Interschool Basketball

Thank you for the opportunity of leading KTHS over the past 2 weeks.   Dean Rogers will be back next week to finish off the year.
