Wellbeing and Inclusion Update

Raising Kids in an Online World

This week, we were thrilled to host a successful parent information night with Marty and Carley from Inform and Empower. The session, titled Raising Kids in an Online World, explored the many ways we can support our children to stay safe, confident, and respectful in their online interactions.

The evening covered a range of important topics around digital wellbeing, online safety, and how to build healthy digital habits at home. We hope the discussions will inspire ongoing conversations within families about how children can navigate the online world thoughtfully and safely.

We’ll be sharing more information with our parent community soon, including the presentation slides and resources. Below, you’ll find a flyer with practical tips for creating positive digital habits at home, along with conversation starters to help your child talk about tricky or uncomfortable situations they may face online.

A big thank you to Amie Bishop, who successfully secured a grant through the Bendigo Bank in Dingley to make this event possible. We look forward to continuing these important conversations and sharing more valuable insights online soon.
