Welcome to Term 4!

I hope you all enjoyed a fantastic holiday break filled with rest and relaxation, because Term 4 is shaping up to be a busy and exciting one!

We have some staffing updates to share. We warmly welcome back Mrs Rachel Hawley and Mrs Emma Sketchley, who will be sharing a teaching position in the Foundation Learning Space. We are delighted to have them return to ARPS, their expertise in teaching, learning, and wellbeing will be of great benefit to our students.

We are also pleased to announce the appointment of our new Chaplain, Jing Hua, who will be joining the Foundation team. She brings with her a wealth of experience working in schools and will support students in developing their social and emotional skills. We look forward to welcoming her into our ARPS community.

A Busy and Exciting Term Ahead

Term 4 brings so many wonderful opportunities for our students. We have the Year 3 Sleepover, Year 4 DOXA Camp, Student Wellbeing Day, School Swimming Program, Choir Showcase Day, and of course, we’ll finish the year with our School Concert and Year 6 Graduation. Please keep an eye on upcoming newsletters and Sentral notifications for important dates and details. It really highlights the incredible range of experiences available to our students at ARPS, opportunities that make our school such a special place to learn and grow.

ARPS Day – Celebrating Our Wonderful Staff

On Wednesday 8th October, we celebrated ARPS Day, our very own day of recognition for all staff. While schools often mark events such as World Teachers’ Day or World Principal’s Day, we wanted something unique that reflects how collaboratively we work at ARPS.

ARPS Day is our chance to celebrate everyone who contributes to bringing our school vision to life, every single day. Our Year 6 School Captains did a fantastic job leading our special assembly, which included certificates for all staff and acknowledgements for our leadership team, teaching teams, education support staff, maintenance staff, and Allied Health team. We were also treated to a heart-warming video featuring our students and parents, expressing their gratitude to staff for their care and dedication. It was a truly special celebration, a reflection of the strong sense of community that makes ARPS such a wonderful place to belong.

Year 3 Sleepover – This Friday!

Our Year 3 students are counting down the days to their much-anticipated sleepover this Friday, 17th October! Excitement is building as students prepare for an evening filled with games, challenges, and shared fun.

Students are asked to arrive at 6:30pm with their sleeping bag, pillow, and blanket. The evening will include a range of team activities, followed by a movie and popcorn night, and then bedtime stories accompanied by milo and biscuits. On Saturday morning, students will enjoy some relaxed board games and a breakfast of cereal and toast before being collected.

School gates will open at 8:30am, and students must be picked up by 9:00am.

Please refer to the Sentral notice for all details and reminders. It promises to be a memorable evening for our Year 3s!

As we move through this final term of the year, we look forward to a fun, rewarding, and successful Term 4. Thank you for your continued support and for being such an integral part of our vibrant ARPS community.
