All Schools State Touch Championships
In Week 9 of Term 3, two of our touch teams travelled to Manly to compete in the All Schools State Touch Championships.
After a dominant and unbeaten run in their pool games, the team showcased their talent and teamwork in the knockout stages.
The girls faced a tough challenge in the quarter-finals against Mount St Benedict, securing a decisive 3-0 victory. This momentum carried them into the semi-finals, where they delivered an exceptional performance, defeating Westfield Sports with an impressive 6-1 scoreline.
The Grand Final was a thrilling and closely contested match against a highly skilled Hunter Sports High team. The final siren sounded with the scores locked, forcing the game into a tense "drop-off" period. With only four players remaining on each team, the girls fought valiantly but ultimately went down by a single try.
While the loss was a heartbreak, the girls' achievement in being named runners-up of the State Championship is an outstanding result. This mix of Year 7 and 8 students displayed incredible grit, determination, and exceptional skill throughout the tournament. We are immensely proud of their efforts and are confident that this talented group will continue to achieve great success in the years to come.
Year 9/10 Boys Team
Unfortunately, the mix of Year 9 and 10 boys did not fare as well as the 7 and 8 girls team. Congratulations to the girls and Ms Arentz for an outstanding performance.
The team showed incredible spirit and tenacity throughout their pool games. The team was in a particularly difficult pool with the eventual tournament winners and, despite losing all their games, never gave up. The team's defensive plays and coordinated attacks proved they are a force to be reckoned with. The players demonstrated admirable sportsmanship under pressure and throughout.

Country Cup State Finalists
Outstanding Achievement!
On Thursday, 23ʳᵈ October, our Under 14 Girls and Under 15 Boys rugby league teams travelled to Camden to compete in the State Finals of the City vs Country Cup — a remarkable achievement that placed both teams among the top two in New South Wales.
The Under 14 Girls took on a very polished Gorokan High School side in a tough Grand Final. Despite going down 30–10, the girls played with outstanding courage, teamwork, and determination. They should be incredibly proud of their efforts and the way they represented Kildare with bravery, spirit, and integrity.
The Under 15 Boys faced Eagle Vale High School in what proved to be a thrilling and physical contest. The game went right down to the wire, with Kildare narrowly defeated 6–12. Both teams' performance marks the best result ever achieved by a Kildare team in this competition — an extraordinary milestone for our school.
Both teams have done Kildare proud, finishing as the second-best teams in the entire state. Congratulations to all players for this outstanding accomplishment!
Thanks
