Locally and globally, we answer the call to love God and love our neighbour, and work to establish the reign of God through serving those in need, and acting for justice and creation. During October, it is World Mission month. We thank you, our families for supporting this very worthy cause through our Crazy Sock Day & Free Hat Friday. As a community, we have raised $1,026.35 for Catholic Mission.

Our next Family Mass (Years 1 & 4) will be held on Sunday 26th October at 9.00am to celebrate Mass with the Parish community. Please join us. Years 1 & 4 are asked to bring a plate to share for morning tea.

October is the month of the Holy Rosary. In our classes during October, we will pray a decade of the Rosary each day.
Students will learn about the importance of prayer, whilst reflecting on the events of the lives of Jesus and Mary our Mother.

Our Primary Book Fair was a great success today. Thank you to all our St Edward's community for your generous support of our Fair. It was fantastic to see so many excited faces eager to start reading their new books!
Infants, tomorrow is your turn! The Book Fair will open from 8.00am in the Library for parents and carers to visit the Fair with their children.
Students who do not have an adult with them and have money to spend at the Fair will be collected from their classroom during the day to purchase their books.
For students who were away for the Book Fair, or forgot their money on sale day. There will be one last opportunity to purchase books on Monday 27th October, if this is your child please ensure they let their class teacher know in the morning so they can be collected to complete their purchases.
Infants Sale Day - Friday 24th October, 8.00am - 3.30pm (tomorrow)
Payment Options for Book Fair
There will be 3 payment options for purchasing books at our Book Fair:-
Option 1 EFT - This year, we have arranged to have 2 EFTPOS machines to assist with the early morning lines. There will be a 1% transaction fee on EFT purchases.
Option 2 Cash - We will be accepting cash payments on our sales days. If you choose to send your child with cash, please ensure it is in a zip-locked bag with their name, class and amount on it.
Option 3 - Avoid the queue and use the prepay option on the back of your child's wish list. Students will complete a wish list with their class prior to our campus Sale Days. Parents decide how much their child can spend at the fair and will transfer that amount directly to Scholastic prior to the Sale Day. This option works like a gift card. The student will need to return their completed wish list with the amount paid and the receipt number to use this option.

We encourage students to continue reading during the school holidays. St Edward's students have access to SORA, an online library offering a wide range of eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines. To log in from home, students will need their school email address and password, which can be obtained from their teacher. Below are instructions for logging into SORA.
