Principal Reflections

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week, we welcomed a research team from Griffith University to St Edward’s Primary School as part of their fieldwork exploring leadership structures and collaborative practice in schools. The visit was a great success, providing valuable opportunities for open discussion, classroom observations, and staff reflection on our shared leadership approach.

The Griffith researchers commended the professionalism, warmth, and transparency of our staff, noting the strong culture of collaboration and commitment to continuous improvement. We are proud to contribute to this important research and look forward to seeing how our insights help shape future understandings of educational leadership across the sector.

Athletics Success

It was wonderful to come together as a school and watch our wonderful girls compete at the NSW PSSA Athletics Championships. This morning, we watched Aria Sutherland be placed 9th in the 200m final. This achievement states that Aria is the 9th fastest girl in her age group in NSW.

Also at 11:45am, we all gathered again in the hall to watch Aria, Genevieve, Eliza and Olivia. The girls came 3rd in their heat and 14th out of 39 teams. It was such a great atmosphere in the hall, cheering them on. Could you believe the girls ran a PB, shaving 1 second off their Polding time, where they came 1st?  Such a remarkable feat!

We are so proud of the girls and their achievements!
