Life's Better with Michael

This year Michael, of Year One at our College, became the star of stage and screen! In the last week of term he appeared in the P-2 AIM HIGH concert and in a movie called ‘Life’s Better With Michael’.

The movie, made by Sue Meeking and Jemma Hall, was created to participate in the ‘Focus on Ability’ short movie festival. This festival had a special screening day, in Melbourne, which Michael and his family and Jemma attended on Tuesday 5 September. 

Previously the movie was part of a social media voting campaign where Michael’s supportive community voted for his movie online. The results of the voting and other decisions from the judging panel will be announced in November. 

Sue Meeking said, “Although we did not make the movie to win any awards, we are thrilled that Michael will have the memento and the fun of being a local star for this period of time. He is certainly a good example of ‘ability’!”.
