Updates around the college

Welcome back for Term 4. We hope that all our students had a great break and have returned to school ready to learn in what is often a very busy term. We have this term a number of sporting events, our College Production, many excursions, Unit 4/4 final VCAA (year 12) exams, Year 10-11 exams, and end of year celebrations across the college.  In the closing weeks of this year, we will have our Year 6 Graduation and Years 7-12 Award Ceremony.  

Building works update

We continue to have lots going on around our college grounds. The kindergarten is now in its final stages. The football goals have been reinstalled and rotated at both ends for our students to be able to access. We will soon be able to share who has been appointed to run the centre and how families can enquire for enrolment.

The cricket pitches on both the primary and secondary ovals are being redone. The concrete will be laid in the coming days, depending on the weather. In a couple of weeks, the pitches will be finalised in time for the cricket season.  

The Building Project at the front of the school is almost complete. We are so close now to having access to some fantastic buildings. Over the next six weeks we will have a staged approach to moving into the new buildings which include the Admin and Wellbeing building, our new canteen for all P-12 students and a staff lounge and library.

In the double storey building we have revamped some of the rooms in the downstairs learning spaces. This has made this space a more positive learning environment for those students using the rooms, more collaborative for our students.  

Sunsmart Uniform

As part of our Term 4 uniform, being a sunsmart school, our students are to wear their hats outside with correct full school uniform.  Our Uniform lists can be found on our college website.  If you need assistance sourcing uniform please contact our General Office.  

Booklists 

We have booklists due to go out to families on Monday 16 October. These will be sent out via email so please ensure that the email address we have on file for you is current and correct.   Please contact the college if your email needs to be updated.  

Booklist submissions are due to Friday 27 October to ensure supplies can be sourced and packaged for our students in time for Flying Start in mid November.  

Year 12 exams

Our Year 12 students are close to finishing their 13 years of schooling. Our Year 12 students have practice exams next Monday to Wednesday before beginning their VCAA external exams on 24 October.

This year we will hold the Year 12 exams in our new library space which is exciting for our Year 12 students as they will be the first to utilise this space.  They have already begun their final preparation for exams.
