Assistant Principals’ Report

2023 has been a year of change.  We have gone through the process of appointing a new Principal and we welcomed Katie Watmough into our School Community. 

She has been a great asset to the school and has already proven to be a great leader in bringing the school forward.

As always it has been a very busy and productive year. Students have had the opportunity to participate in a number of different activities throughout the year which have led to enhanced learning opportunities where they have received some fantastic results. Beyond the classroom students have been involved in Art Shows, Maths Competitions, STEAM Camps, Campfire Conversations, Shrek Jr, sporting events and many different excursions.  We often walk around the school amazed at what our young people are capable of achieving.

It has been great to see so many students being involved in the lunchtime clubs, and leadership opportunities including SRC and Peer Support. It is great to see the students being innovative with such events as the bake sale and Be your Own Boss stalls. The cash society certainly hasn’t disappeared as a lot of teachers and students delved into the bottom of their bags and wallets.

2023 saw the launch of our School Wide Positive Behaviour Matrix. Student voice was vital to ensure that they have ownership of this matrix, and we look forward to embedding SWPBS further with guidance and support from students and families.

Congratulations on a successful 2023 and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our students, staff and families for all of your hard work over the year. We would like to wish you all a safe and happy festive season and January break. We look forward to seeing you all in 2024 which promises to be another amazing year.
