Flamingos with Miss Ferguson

It has been a wonderful year in the Flamingos! We have had success in the classroom and on the sporting fields, with lots of fun in between. We always try to build each other up and work as a team to achieve our goals. 

Excursions

This year Stage 2 went on some fabulous excursions! We went to the Wollongong Botanical Gardens, Shellharbour Library, Southern Stars, High School Gala Days and the High School Easter Show. It is always great to get out and about and learn in the community. 

Italian

Our weekly Italian lessons with Mrs Maranesi have been a big hit in the Flamingos classroom. We are all now able to greet each, count, say the days of the week and state our address, all in Italian. The students loved learning about some of the interesting places in Italy, such as, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and Venice.  

Music

Music lessons each week always provide entertainment. The students enjoyed learning some basic guitar skills and seeing the interesting instruments Mark brings in to demonstrate with. 

Visual Arts

Most recently we were using chalk and marker to create Spooky houses for Halloween and did a step-by-step drawing of 'Crazy Emus' for Grandparents day. We were all impressed with the skills of the visitors!
