Grade 2D has worked on long vowel sounds in the past few weeks. In the lesson, we name the sounds and describe how our mouth makes the sound correctly. We also sort alternative spellings and created cheat sheets for all long vowel sounds. There’re some students’ reflection on our learning about the spelling: 

 

Abbey: I find it is very useful because I can use the words to do my writing. 
 
Dhakshanan: I find it is very useful in my spelling. 
 
Prayag: The most the important thing is that you need to pay attention to the sound, especially when there is a trigraph, for example, future, beautiful, beauty …
 
Ngo Chi: I find today’s lesson is very useful because it can help me to write. 
 
Niveda: I think it’s very useful because it helps me with my spelling
 
Tulara: I think the most important thing is that you say the word, sound out the word for your spelling. 
 
Saheli: I find it useful for my future learning. 
 
Calden: I find it useful because I can work on it. 
 
Jazleen: I think it’s really very important for us to work on spelling.
 
Nethanya: I think it’s useful because we can spell correctly in writing. 
 
Ray: Those words can help me to learn English.
 
Nina: This is very useful because I can spell things correctly.
 
Diniru: I can use these words for me to write correctly. 
 
Arnav: The teacher says the words really calmly. 
 
Aria: The most useful thing in the spelling is Ms Liu clear voice so everything is clear. 
 
Ali: It’s very useful for our future.
