Miss Mel's Message

Principal - St Brigid's Primary School

Term 3, Week 10

Dear St Brigid’s community,

As we bid farewell to another enriching term here at St. B’s, we would like to take a moment to reflect on the achievements, growth, and blessings that have graced our school over the past several months.

This term has seen remarkable progress and achievements across all year groups. From academic accomplishments to personal growth, we have witnessed our students excel in various areas. We're proud of each child's unique journey and their commitment to becoming the best version of themselves.

In the coming term, we look forward to building on these successes and exploring new opportunities for growth and learning. We remain dedicated to our mission of nurturing the whole child, academically, spiritually, and socially.

A reminder, Term 4 upcoming school closure dates for students are 6th, 7th (Cup Day), 8th November, and school finishes for our students on Friday15th December.

Farewell

We have just been advised that Adam Bremner has decided to pursue his passion of Mathematics at a secondary level. This new role draws on Adam’s knowledge of primary mathematics, in the hope of bridging the gap between primary and secondary mathematics learning and teaching, with a focus on a more hands-on, engaging approach in Years 7-9.  This position, however, requires that Adam begins his new role in Term 4, and therefore his last day will be Friday the 13th of October. We wish Adam every success in this new chapter of his teaching journey.

Spring Sunshine

With spring in full bloom, our school grounds have been awash in sunshine and laughter. The joy and vitality that this season brings have filled our classrooms and playgrounds with an extra dose of energy and enthusiasm. We love that our students have been able to enjoy the great outdoors, soaking up the sun while learning and playing.

Building Update

Building works continue through the holidays, with some extensive drainage works happening along the grass area. Electrical works have been completed, and plastering will commence over the next few weeks. Furniture and carpet have been ordered and are expected to arrive soon. Works are tracking along for completion mid-October at this stage.

Social Media

Our social media presence has been one way in which we can promote our school community to a wider audience. Currently, we have 123 followers on Instagram, and 298 followers on Facebook. We aim to have 150 on Instagram and 350 on Facebook by the end of the year. Please promote our pages to family and friends to share the wonderful things that are happening at St B’s.

Rest and Rejuvenation

As we approach the well-deserved break, we want to remind everyone of the importance of rest and rejuvenation. This term has been filled with hard work and dedication from both students and teachers alike, and now is the time for everyone to take a step back, relax, and recharge. We encourage you all to find moments of peace and reflection during the upcoming holidays.

Thank You for Your Support

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our incredible parents, guardians, and families. Your unwavering support, involvement in school activities, and dedication to your child's education have been instrumental in making this term successful. Together, we create a strong and loving community.

Wishing you all a blessed and joyful spring break. We can't wait to welcome our students back for another term filled with promise and endless possibilities.
