Principal Address

Dear Families,

This will be a short principal’s message this week.

It has been a lovely week at school and such a joy to see our students out enjoying the sunshine. What a reminder of God’s goodness and a nice metaphor for our lives, that sun does always shine after rain!

At Chapel this morning Pastor Warren shared about Abraham and how he chose to trust God even when he could not see the whole picture ahead. It was a great reminder for all of us, children and adults alike, that walking by faith often means stepping forward with confidence in God’s promises rather than certainty in our own plans. That is not always easy in the busyness of life, but it is deeply freeing to know that God is faithful.

My encouragement for us as a school community is that we continue to model this for our children. To show them that faith is lived out in the everyday choices of trust, patience and obedience.

Also a shout out to our Year 2 class who took us on a tour of Australia today and also a special shout out to our Choir today. They may be young, but they sang with so much energy and spirit. It was a real delight to see them perform.

A reminder that next Friday we have our annual Fathers Day chapel, with our stall happening on Thursday, thanks again to Mrs Coorey for coordinating this. If you would like your child to purchase a gift, please send them to school with cash, gifts will range from $5 to $10.

We also have our watermelon eating competition after Chapel on Friday, which I am sure will be a lot of fun, happening straight after Chapel, all welcome.

My door is always open.

Many Thanks,

Joe Britton
