Accountability

Leadership journeys

Every four years, each school develops a School Strategic Plan (we will do so at the beginning of 2026). To achieve the goals set out in this plan, we design an Annual Implementation Plan. Leadership develop a draft which is brought to staff and to School Council for approval. Throughout the year the School Improvement Team create an action plan to achieve the goals (including importantly our Professional Meeting Schedule) evaluate our progress.

CPS has an extensive leadership structure intended to engage as many teachers as possible in the decision making to support the achievement of the Annual Implementation Plan.

So currently, we have:

PCO - Bilingual Learning Leaders (Learning Specialists) - School Improvement Team - Curriculum Leaders (also a sub school leader) - Sub School Leaders - Professional Learning Community Leaders - Year Level Coordinators.

Some teams have a cross over but at the David Anderson middle tier leadership session 22 of our teaching staff and PCO were present.

Every year we follow DET Merit and Equity process of seeking and Expression of Interest (EOI) for our middle tier leadership roles. An EOI outlines a candidates skills, knowledge and experience in a particular area to enable the PCO team to identify the successful candidates.

As you know, we are now in the process of developing the 2026 team which will be communicated to staff shortly.
