Deputy Principal Staff and Students Report

Car Park
With the construction of the new building taking place, the rear car park at the College is out of action. This has meant around 30 less car spaces available. As a result of this, many staff who usually park on campus have been forced to park off campus. For 2025 and the first semester of 2026, our Year 12 students will not be able to park on campus. Usually we offer students the opportunity to apply for a permit to park on campus once they have their Driver’s Licence, if they agree to abide by our expectations for safety.
Whilst reflecting on the car park, we remind Parents, Guardians and Carers to be patient in the car park and always mindful of the safety of our students. Consider parking off campus at an organised safe spot and walk to school to help decrease congestion in the car park.
Looking Ahead
As we look ahead, we have a few important events in the next few weeks:
Monday 11 August 2025: Whole School House Athletics Carnival.
Friday 15 August 2025: Whole School Mass for the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin.
Friday 22 August 2025: Comfy Clothes Day to raise awareness for Mental Health, $3.00 donation.
Friday 22 August 2025: Winter Sleepout
Counselling
We have welcomed two new members to our counselling team, Lana Paten and Hannah Genova. They bring great experience and gifts to our team and we are most blessed to have them with us.
A reminder to all families that we have a team of counsellors and a wellbeing team to support our students. Students can self-refer for counselling through SiMON. Likewise, staff can also make a referral for students to be seen by one of our counselling team.
Many students benefit greatly from sessions with our counsellors. We encourage students to be open to seeing one of the counsellors should there be a need and to speak to their Head of House if they have any questions about counselling.
As always, our work with Parents, Guardians and Carers as the first educators is always a partnership. We invite them to talk to their children about the counsellors available at the College should they be looking for support and encourage their child to reach out.
We once again remind Parents, Guardians and Carers that we desire to be working closely with you. If there are any questions or issues that it would be beneficial for your child for us to be aware of, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s Head of House or Pastoral Teacher.
God Bless
