Science Report

Over the last week we were excited to welcome the new year 7’s and all of our returning students to Science for the year.

Year 7’s started Science off with some exciting demonstrations to enhance their understanding of observing and inferring. These experiments included the amazing water trick, coke explosions, film canister rockets, balloon popping and many more.

Year 8’s are studying Energy this term that started with a snappy bands experiment seeing them explore the relationship of potential energy and kinetic energy.

Year 9’s are working on Earth Sciences and will move into learning all about the nervous system in the next few weeks.

Year 10 Chemistry created beautiful Silver crystals this week as they explore the elements of the periodic table and discover the properties of the elements.

VCE students are straight into course content and are already preparing for their first assessment tasks in coming weeks.

Here is to a year of exciting experiments, questions and scientific discovery!
