Sports Update 

Welcome back Vermont Secondary College! 

We are very excited about the year ahead and the opportunity to build on the amazing successes from 2023.

Our highlights from 2023:

Waverley Division Swimming – Champions

Waverley Division Cross Country – Champions

Waverley Division Track & Field – Champions

Eastern Metropolitan Region Track & Field – Champions for the 2nd year running

Senior Boys Australian Rules – State Runners Up

Senior Boys Baseball – State Runners Up

Year 8 Girls Softball – State Finalists, third place

Junior Bowls – State Runners Up

Plus, many more team and individual achievements across the division, region, state and national levels.

Junior Swimming Carnival

Families are reminded that consent on Compass must be complete prior to the swimming carnival. On the day, students are required to go to their period 1 class to get their name marked on the roll. Students cannot board a bus without their class and their teacher.

The weather forecast is looking great. Students are encouraged to wear their house colours and get involved in as many events as possible!

Sport is a fantastic co-curricular program for all. There are many opportunities each term for students to participate and take on volunteer positions coaching and as student helpers. Our Term 1 round robin sports include cricket, tennis, volleyball, softball (girls) & baseball (boys/mixed). Students are encouraged to sign up on the sheets provided outside the sports office!

20/3 VSC Cross Country – Bellbird Dell (self-nominated students)
