Wellbeing Leaders

Hi, we are your 2024 Wellbeing Leaders,

We are here to tell the parents/carers of EPS about the amazing things we have done in the past 5 weeks. By these actions we hope to make a difference for your children.

One of the many things we are doing to welcome the new preps to our wonderful school is making a booklet to welcome them to EPS. These booklets include some tips and tricks to help the preps try and fit in and make new friends for many years to come. We believe that this is important because this year sets them up for success and the rest of their time at Elsternwick Primary school. These booklets will be sent home to the preps next week. We hope that you see some improvements at home and this helps provide a better experience for them at our school.

This term we have also been playing fun games with the preps like duck duck goose and tag. We have also been doing some amazing colouring like Minecraft dogs, Minecraft people, unicorns to name a few.

One of the many things we have accomplished this year is a gratitude box! Every first half of lunch on a Friday the wellbeing leaders set up outside the green zone for all year levels and support students to come and write one or two things they may be grateful for, big or small! We then read a few out at assembly to acknowledge all the wonderful things and people in our lives.

As many of you may know, the year 4s received their buddies a few days ago. The year 4s filled out a sheet about how they can be kind, calm, and provide comfort to their buddies. We made a presentation to the year 4’s with suggested games to play with their buddies, how to engage with their buddies, and much more!

We are hosting a Harmony Day later this term to support everyone's culture and what people believe in. More information will be sent out via compass closer to the event.

Kind regards,

Maya, Sienna, Luca and Zoe your Wellbeing Leaders
