Community Mass

COMMUNITY MASS

Our next Community Mass is on Friday 16 February and will be prepared by students in Year 12. Ofcourse, Year 12 families are especially welcome!

For families not familiar with Community Mass, it is a celebration that includes students, families and staff. Each week, students are rostered to prepare the celebration in their Year group or House – however, participating in the Mass each Friday is open to all year groups and Houses. Music is prepared by the Chapel Choir (comprising Primary and Secondary students), supported by other College choirs.

Our presider is from the Redemptorist Monastery in North Perth.

If you would like to attend the Community Mass, just come to the College Chapel at 8:00am on Fridays. All the responses are on a PowerPoint, so it is ‘user-friendly’. There are no allocated seats and the liturgy concludes in time for Homeroom.

After Mass the ‘liturgy of life’ continues in the Circle of Friends Café, over coffee and conversation for family and staff who are able to stay.

Do you have a child in Year 3, 4 or 6?

Parishes have begun enrolling for their Sacrament Programs and parents are encouraged to enrol their child in their ‘home’ parish.

The program is family-focused, parish-based, Catholic school-supported. This means that parents are respected as first educators in the faith of their children.

The family is supported by the College Religious Education program. In Year 3, students are taught the content for First Reconciliation; in Year 4 ,the content for First Holy Communion and in Year 6, the content for Confirmation. Students celebrate these sacraments in their parish.

Each Parish has their own unique Sacrament program. As they become available, details from the parishes located nearest to the College will be updated to the College website. Parents often have questions about the Sacrament program, so don’t be afraid to ask:
