From the Principal

I extend a very warm welcome back to our school community, as we embark on a start of a new school year. It has been a delight to see each of our returning students arrive back and to greet our many new students who have joined us at the College.

Yesterday was an exciting day for our Kinder, Year 7, 11 and 12 students. Having a staggered start to the year gives these students, at an important transition point in their schooling, an opportunity to settle into the environment without the same level of busyness that we experience on a regular day.

'It was my best day ever!' That was the response I received from one little person when I asker her about her first day back at school. She told me she had the best friends, the best teacher, that her class was the best (but her teacher told them not to tell the other classes), that they did great activities and she made good choices all day.

While the response from some may not be quite as vibrant, I have enjoyed seeing so many bright, smiling faces and to see their enthusiastic greeting towards each other. At the front entrance this morning we had a number of students waiting for their friends to arrive.

Thank you to the many families who have indicated they will be attending the Dedication Evening tomorrow. Over the next few weeks, we also have Information Evenings scheduled for Secondary, Primary and Senior Secondary. Please see later in the newsletter for details.

Today, we launched a new student management system with Secondary students. Primary students will begin using the platform over the next few weeks. Parents will receive their login information following the upcoming Information Evenings, where we will provide a quick introduction. We hope the system becomes a key information point for families to be able to keep up to date with school activities and what is happening in your children's classes.

I pray that as we travel through this year together that God will continue to shape and strengthen each of us as individuals and as a community.
