Choir News

This week we had our first 2 choir practices for the year. We will be celebrating mass at school next Wednesday for Ash Wednesday and the choir will sing during the mass. Year 3 students who were keen to join the choir this year were invited to come along to practice and sing at Mass next week.

It would be great to see some SFS families at the mass next week for the start of Lent.

Thanks,

Rachel and Nicole

Learning Space 1 Seniors this week

In LS1 Seniors this week in Maths, the students have been learning about collecting data and graphing this information.  This has helped students to get to know one another. Students have also been learning how to set out their maths books neatly.  Some graphs the students have learnt about include ‘column graphs’ and ‘picture graphs’.  The students had a great time finding out about one another and presenting this information in different ways.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

5/6 SPORT

Today our Grade 5/6's participated in their first Interschool Sport Training.  The weather was great and the students enjoyed themselves.  It was great to see the excitement on their faces.

3/4 SPORT

We had our Grade 3/4's participating in their Interschool Sport rotations for the first time and the students thoroughly enjoyed themselves.  It gives the students an insight of what to expect when they are in Grade 5 and 6, hopefully getting them ready when we compete against other schools.
