Our theme for this year

Together with God we can grow in

COURAGE, KINDNESS, CREATIVITY & COMPASSION

Dear Parents and Carers,

This is a heartfelt expression of appreciation and gratitude to the staff, leaders, students, and families of St Kevin's for their hard work and dedication in 2023.

Thank you to all the leaders beginning with Signora Tomazos for her work as Deputy,  Literacy and Numeracy Leader.  Thank you to Signora Gerosolimo for being the caretaker of the Religious Dimension, for organising masses and leading RE at St Kevin’s.   Signorina Corcoglioniti for leading teaching and learning and Signora George for leading wellbeing and introducing PBL into the school.  Grazie Signore Con for leading in ICT and Science.  You have done an exceptional job!

I wish Francesa Pizzo and Sun Pezzimenti all the best in their new adventures.

The special mention of appreciation goes to Fiona Marini, Selena Perfetto and Tina Minichilli as front-of-house advocates.  They are outstanding operators who continually assist and guide parents and staff.

Thank you to Laura Mangiavillano, Vanessa White for leading the SAC and Suzanne Connelly and Marey Nitas for leading the PFA.  A very special thank you to Joanne Harman for all her work behind the scenes working with finances and bookkeeping.

I thank the Year 6 School Captains, especially Poppy and Bridget for their leadership, hard work and ongoing respectful attitudes.

Congratulations to all the Year 6 students!  I hope you work hard, do your very best in future studies and all your dreams come true.

I express gratitude to Father Charles for all you have done this year guiding us spiritually and supporting me as a leader.   Thank you Tizana, Ana, Nadia and Lisa from St Kevin's Parish for working with us and all our families.

A massive thank you to each St Kevin’s family for choosing us and entrusting the education and well-being of your children to us. It has been a privilege to build partnerships with parents in 2023 working alongside you and building the students' confidence, knowledge and skills.

To each and every student at St Kevin’s congratulations on your amazing work in 2023.  To those who are leaving St Kevin’s I wish you all the best in your future studies.

To all the new families, firstly welcome to St Kevin’s. This is an incredible community! I look forward to getting to know you all and working with you in 2024!

Finally, I  wish everyone a peaceful Christmas and a relaxing holiday. We look forward to working with you in 2024.

 With Joy We Pray

Dear God, we give thanks for this time when we can all be together. We give thanks for this food which is bountiful and delicious. We give thanks for this joyful holiday when we can celebrate our Savior and his love for us. With joy we pray, Amen.

Messages from each 2023 Class -

Prep M

Prep GS

n Prep we started, small and shy,

Not sure what we were going to do, oh my!!

Tall we've grown, oh so much,

Wiser too, with a magic touch.

Mrs. George, our Mamma Pollo,

Guided us with a heart so mellow.

Mrs. Scarcella, always near,

Helped us learn, and made things clear.

Sometimes listening and sitting still was tough,

But we always said “Keep going Mrs George, we haven't had enough!”

Learning to count, past a hundred we go,

Words we sounded out, just like a pro.

Sam, Pam, and Dan, our heroes three,

Thanks to them, now we can read with glee.

Reading and writing, was a new task for us

But learning to do this, we know it is a must!!

Many celebrations like book week,  school for 100 days

And the performance of Three Doors kept us busy and amazed.

Outside we’ve played, under the sun,

Lego blocks and monkey bars, oh so much fun.

Lining up at the canteen for a zooper dooper

Has been a highlight for all of us troopers.

Friends we have made, laughter and fun,

Our first year of school has been second to none.

Responsible, resilient, respectful too,

Lessons learned, not just a few.

We will miss being small, but we're ready to be tall,

Year One awaits, and we are certainly ready to  give it our all!

1/2P

1/2 P has been the place for you and me

A wonderful place in 2023

Every day, there was something new

And so we grew and grew

We grew taller

No longer smaller

And don’t forget

Our growth mindset

There were things we could not do

Like tie a lace on our shoe

But now we can

Thanks to our plan

Of having grit

Giving that extra bit

So we don’t stress

We can achieve success

Rayan and Jack, Nalivia and Sena, Austin and Sonny

Ayden and Yousef, Elana and Hayley

Luka and Seb, Ndiishe and Kane

We can’t wait till next year when we’ll do it all again.

1/2 G

Grade 1 /2 G  oh what a ride!

With knowledge blooming like flowers wide.

They learned to read, so fluently.

Words dancing on the pages, oh so beautifully.

Inferences woven like a tale,

Little minds expanding, setting sail.

Mrs. Gerosolimo's crew oh so dear and always near

Inferences woven like a tale,

Little minds expanding, setting sail.

Mrs. Gerosolimo's crew so dear,

Guiding them through each challenge and cheer.

Pizza slices, they mastered the art of equal parts,

Jelly making, a sweet success,

Following procedures, no need to guess.

So off  you go my dear ones, with a fond goodbye and blessing from me.

To the next grade, reaching for the sky.

Wings of wonder, hearts so free,

Grade 2 and 3  awaits, oh, the sights to see!

3F

In  the halls of Middle F, where friendships grew,

Under Miss Fitz's guidance, the whole year through.

Cleo, Mackenzie, Bowie, and Fontaine too,

Adele, Andray, and Lacey in our crew.

John-Paul, Abigail, and sweet little Kate,

Lwandle, Milana, and Grace, so great.

Marc and Rose, Arkan, and charming Anika,

Each name is a melody, in the Middle F.

In the realm of knowledge, where stories unfold,

With Cleo's curiosity, and Mackenzie's bold.

Bowie's creativity, a spark in the air,

Fontaine's resilience, a strength beyond compare.

Adele's kindness, like a warm summer breeze,

Andray's laughter, putting hearts at ease.

Lacey's determination, a flame burning bright,

In the tapestry of Middle F, what a beautiful sight.

John-Paul's passion, like a fiery sun,

Abigail's spirit, always on the run.

Kate's joy, a contagious song,

Lwandle's wisdom, where we all belong.

Milana's grace, like a gentle stream,

In the corridors of Middle F, we dream.

Grace, Marc, and Rose, a trio so true,

Arkan's humor, and Anika's view.

As we bid adieu, to this chapter so dear,

With memories cherished, year after year.

Middle F, a canvas painted with care,

By students like you, a treasure so rare.
