Leadership Report

SCHOOL CONCERT

Wow, what an absolutely amazing evening of entertainment we had here on Thursday 23rd November as all of our students showcased their talents at our very first whole school performance. 'A Night On Broadway' took us through the decades as we saw the classes perform some of the classics. I mentioned on the night about how proud we were of all of our students who stretched themselves in their learning and blew our  minds with their incredible voices and dance moves. Whilst the weather was warm, I am sure you will agree the night was an incredible success. A huge thank you to all of our staff who supported the night. An extra huge congratulations and expression of gratitude for the work Mrs Banfield and Mrs Downie put in to making this experience such a success. The belief they instil in our students and passion they have for the arts came through on the night. They also gave our staff the belief to get up and perform the Time Warp as well haha. We wonder what 2024 will bring!!!!!

MOVEMBER

It was wonderful to see all of our staff and students come together and dress up in a variety of costumes and outfits for our Movember fundraiser. Over $200 was raised through donations and this will go towards raising awareness for men's health issues. Whilst Mr Hodge, Mr Scanlon, Mr Hall and Andrew grew their moustaches with ease, it certainly required a more persistent effort (and the entire month) from myself and Mr Hayes but we finally got there!! A big thank you to Mr Hayes for organising this worthwhile effort.

SCHOOL HOUSE BANNERS

One of our priorities as a school is to continue to build traditions and connection for our students and wider school community. As we continue to build connection to our School Houses through a range of events, we are also making our Houses more visible throughout the school. We are thrilled to now have our House banners hanging in the school gym. They are big and bold and highlight the artwork of the emblems for each House. A huge thank you to Derrick Reumer, one of our parents who volunteered his time and espertise to hang the banners. The banners were a project that Parents & Friends have funded and it great to see the fundraising efforts go to such a worthwhile purpose within our school.

TRANSITION TO 2024

On Tuesday 12th December, our students will discover their 2024 teachers and classes. This also includes our Preps for next year who will be on site for their final official transition session. This will be an opportunity for all students to begin building relationships and connections within their new learning community. Teachers are spending a significant amount of time creating the classes for next year, as well as planning for a day of fun and excitement for everyone. 2024 classes (not Preps) will again come together on Friday 15th December (morning only) to again reconnect with their teacher and classmates.

CLASS PARTIES

You will notice that our class parties take place on Friday 15th December. This is a chance for all classes to celebrate the year that has been with their teacher and classmates. As has been the way in previous years, we will continue to celebrate consistently throughout the school with a hot chip and snack lunch celebration. More information about this will be distributed to families early next week through Compass.
