Market Day
Friday the 8th of December from 9:30am-10:30am.
Over the past few weeks, the students in Years 5 and 6 have been learning about Economics and all the workings of how to run a successful business. This learning will help the students work towards creating their own business, to be featured at a school Market Day. The profits from every business will be donated to the restoration of the St Therese’s Church on Bathurst Island.
The market will be held on Friday the 8th of December from 9:30am to 10:30am at various locations throughout the Wheeler Wing and the back oval. We invite all families to attend!
Students and adults will be able to buy products including food, fake tattoos, bracelets, stationery, keychains, slime and fidget spinners. Services include face painting, soccer clinics, spin the wheel and guessing competitions.
In regards to food items, only commercially made food products are being sold. Students will not be able to consume any purchased food at school; everything will be taken home. Each student from Prep - Year 6 will be able to bring up to $10 along on the day to spend on products and services of their choice. Most items will be 50 cents, $1 and $2; we would appreciate that coins are only brought.
