Character Strength Awards:

This year we have celebrated our students' growth and development as individuals through their demonstration of the 24 Character Strengths. Our school's character strengths are nurtured and developed through positive educational experiences and Personal Development, Health and Physical Education lessons. Everyone possesses the 24 character strengths differently, impacting how we think, feel and behave. They are the keys to you being your best self.

This week, we recognised a number of students across Kindergarten to Year 6 for demonstrating a particular character strength during aspects of their school day. They were acknowledged through our SFX Character Strength Awards.

Congratulations to all the students who received an award yesterday.  I look forward to celebrating the achievements of these students and acknowledging their use of character strengths in 2024.

Be You Factsheet: Five Areas of Social and Emotional Learning

This fortnight’s focus is the Five Areas of Social and Emotional Learning. Our students have been continuing their work on our Bounce Back Program which incorporates these five areas of learning to allow for students to develop their social and emotional wellbeing. This is a lifelong skill that allows students to face adversity, form new relationships and develop self-awareness of their strengths and emotional regulation.

This learning occurs in all areas of life and can be affected by many factors such as family connections, school practices and policy and classroom interactions and relationships.

Below is the Be You factsheet on the Five Areas of Social and Emotional Learning. Please see the document below for further information.
