Prep Guy

Wow! What a sensational two weeks we have had. Firstly can we thank Parents and Friends for their amazing continued fundraising efforts to purchase more PMP resources and food plus a cupboard for our cooking program. Parents and Friends do an outstanding effort behind the scenes to provide much needed resources so your children have the best education possible.

Thank you also to Miss Stoll for organising our Junior team dinner and sleepover ( not that I think many got any sleep)! The students really enjoyed this special event.

Thank you also to the Millis family for donating tomato plants for our Gardening Cooking Program. Sadly this will be their last year of donating tomato plants.

We welcomed our 2024 Preps to school for a fun Library session, Art session and Science session.

We all had lots of fun on Wheels Day and raised much needed money for children who can't afford wheels chairs. We also learnt about these children and what countries they come from. Thank you to the Grade 6s who taught us all about this great program.

To top off the fortnight we finished with some crazy hair and funny, bright, zany socks. Wow! School is fun!

We have also been learning in Reading, Writing and Maths about Christmas and how it is celebrated all around the world. Students now have an explanation on why so many picture story books about Christmas are filled with snow.

Can I take this opportunity to sincerly thank all my fantastic students, families and staff for their continued support this year. A special thank you to my terrific parents and Grandparents who come into our classroom every single morning to help with Reading Circles.

I wish everyone a very happy, safe Christmas. Please take care of each other and have some family fun over the holidays. Merry Chrissy everyone.

Students Of The Week

Well done to Laikyn, our new student who has started in Prep Guy. Laikyn was chosen by his classmates because he has settled in so well and is already making friends. Welcome Laikyn.

Prep Guy Reading nights Competition

A huge congratulations to Darcy and Fletcher who won our reading nights competition. Both these boys tied on reading every single night this school year ( even weekends and school holidays). What an outstanding effort. Well done Darcy and Fletcher; we are so proud of you both and can see that this practise has helped you both read with fluency, expression, confidence and an increased comprehension, showing you are understanding what you are reading. I hope you enjoy your prizes.

One/ Two Miss Stoll & Mrs Parker

As we come towards the end of the school year we are starting to have a lot of fun in the classrooms. We are doing lots of Christmas activities and special end of year events, while the Elves (Elfie in 1/2 Parker and Frosty in 1/2 Stoll) are causing mischief and fun every morning. What will they get up to next?!?!

Our student achievers from the last 2 weeks were Marlie and Jack in 1/2 Parker and Jack and Chloe in 1/2 Stoll. Congratulations to our wonderful student achievers.
