Principal's Column

A message from Mr. Gatt, Miss. Slaymaker & Mrs. Dixon

As we close Term 1, we would like to take a moment to recognise the amazing efforts of our students, staff, and families. This term has been full of learning, growth, and many wonderful achievements. There has also been a number of school events, including our annual Family Picnic, Parent/Carer Interviews, Year 4 Camp, Year 6 Camp, NAPLAN,  Cross Country, District Swimming, just to name a few. These events would not have been possible without the dedication of our amazing staff or our community coming together.

TERM ARRANGEMENTS

  • Last Day of Term 1: Friday 4th April - please note a 2.15pm finish
  • First Day of Term 2: Tuesday 22nd April - 9.00am start (after Easter)

2025 ANNUAL IMPLEMENTATION PLAN

STUDENT ATTENDANCE

Many of families would have noticed that we have moved to posting our weekly attendance data on Class Dojo. As the term has progressed it is evident how our community has worked to have our students at school. By the end of Week 9 we had over 90% of our children at school for 32 days! A special shout out needs to go out to our Year 3 cohort for the consistent attendance above 90% and to 3S and 4H for a week each of 100% attendance.

To celebrate our students who reached over 90% attendance this term, we had our termly Principals Lunch on Tuesday! It was brilliant to see such a big turn out of students, we had over 320 students in attendance. Congratulations to our raffle winners: Casper (Prep), Angela (Year 1), William (Year 2), Jahla (Year 3), Brendan (Year 4), Charlotte (Year 5) and Azeb (Year 6).

We are super proud of our student attendance so far this year!

CROSS COUNTRY

Last Thursday (27th March) all students were invited to participate in our annual Cross Country event. Our Year 3-6 students participated at Galvin Park at different intervals throughout the day, whilst our Prep - 2s enjoyed an afternoon event at school. A big shoutout to Mrs. Morgan and our team for their extensive organisation to make the event run! A special thank you goes to all our families who attended. We wish our students entered into the District level all the best!
