Maths Night celebration

Hi Families,

A big congratulations to the members of our Teaching and Learning Action Team led by Miss Harney on another fantastic edition of our Maths Night last Wednesday evening. This year's Maths Night marked our 10 year anniversary of running these nights and we were once again blown away by our families and students support in attending the event. There was lots of great maths energy in the junior building with playing old favourites and new Maths games, solving puzzles, guessing the lollies in the jar competition, enjoying the Maths themed food and looking for the five '10's’ in the four classrooms and open space. Congratulations to our winners of the competitions and lucky door prize. We hope everyone in attendance had an enjoyable night and enjoyed a delicious ice-cream from the truck on the way home. Here's some photos from the night.

Writing student progress reports

Our final student progress report for Term 1 with a focus on 'Writing' will be made available to families to read via XUNO on Thursday 3rd April.  If you have any questions about the reporting comments, please get in touch with your child's classroom teacher.

Maths challenge of the week

For this week's Maths challenge, I am sharing with you the original Maths Night puzzle from 2015 called 'The Pyramid'.

The challenge is by moving only 3 coins, can you turn the pyramid upside down?

If you can solve the puzzle, please share your answer with Mr Baker.

Book Club

Issue 2 loop orders have been processed online last week with our shipment of books due to arrive next week in time for the school holidays. Thank you once again to families for your support with Book Club this term. Issue 3 catalogues will be distributed to students in the first week of Term 2.

Scholastic Book Club is a service offered to students, parents and teachers. Brochures advertising a variety of books and computer software are sent home with each student, approximately twice a term.

Purchase of the books is not compulsory and there is no obligation. If you do wish to purchase any goods simply log into the Book Club site www.scholastic.com.au/LOOP and follow the prompts. All Book Club orders must be ordered and paid for via LOOP. Do not send order forms and cash to school. When the order arrives at school, books are sent home with students.

The School earns “Bonus Points” for each order which can be used to purchase new resources for classroom libraries and the school library.

Click here for the Scholastic Book Club Parent Log in page or to register for new users.
